Emily Beatrice Bland was born in Lincolnshire and studied at the Lincoln School of Art, followed by the Slade under Henry Tonks and Fred Brown. She exhibited throughout her life at the Royal Academy, the New English Art Club, the Fine Art Society, the Leicester Galleries (one-man show 1922) and elsewhere.
Her work is held in numerous private and public collections including the Tate and the Walker Gallery. Further examples can be found on this page on Artuk website.
