Doris Clare Zinkeisen was born in Gareloch, Scotland in 1898. She studied at the Royal Academy schools and went on to exhibit regularly in London and beyond. Her sister, Anna, was also a successful artist.

Exhibited/ Membership: R.A., R.B.A., R.O.I. (elected a member in 1928) and the Paris Salon.
